Garuda Indonesia will open a new route between the capital of Central Java - Semarang (Central Java) and Denpasar (Bali) commencing on November 6, 2013.
The general manager of Garuda Indonesia in Semarang, Husein Sjarif, described the new service to Bisnis.com as much needed to answer market demand for air seats between the two destinations.
“We are optimistic that load factors can reach 70-80%,” said Sjarif.
Garuda is confident the new direct service will be enthusiastically received by the public based on the already existing high demand for tickets between Semarang and Bali necessitating an intermediate stop in Surabaya.
Garuda will operate the new service using Bombardier CRJ-1000 aircraft configured for 12 business-class seats and 84 economy seats.
The daily service departs Bali with GA 446 at 11:50 am arriving in Semarang one hour and ten minutes later at 12:00 noon.
The return non-stop service on GA 447 leaves Semarang at 12:45 pm landing in Bali at 3:00 pm.
