Luggage. What Luggage?

Malaysian Malindo Flight Bound for Brisbane Leave Passengers Luggage Behind in Bali

(7/16/2017) 9news.com.au and ntnews.com.au report a Malindo Air Flight via Bali to Brisbane that was scheduled to leave at midnight on Saturday, July 15, 2017, was delayed for more than two hours for “technical reasons.”

What’s more, when the passengers finally arrived in Brisbane five hours after departure from Bali on Sunday, 63 of the passengers learned their luggage was still sitting in Bali.

The delayed departure was blamed on a “weight discrepancy” that was only advised to the passengers after they had already boarded the flight. While passengers sat on the plane waiting to depart for two hours, they discovered that three toilets on board the Boeing 737 were not operating.

Passengers only learned that their luggage was still in Bali after their luggage did not appear on the luggage turnstile in Brisbane.

Apparently, both Malindo in Australia and its home office in Malaysia have failed initially to make comment on the incidents.

The left luggage reportedly left Bali for Brisbane on an evening flight on Sunday.
