Garuda Soaring Higher and Higher

Garuda Projecting 15-20% More Passengers in 2013

(4/8/2013) Garuda Indonesia is targeting an increase in passenger totals of between 15-20% in 2013  bringing the total passengers uplift  to 24.5 million.

Bisnis.com quotes Garuda CEO, Emirsyah Satar, as saying the increase in passengers will also drive correspondingly higher income levels for the national carrier.

Said Satar on Friday, March 29, 2013: “Last year we carried 20.4 million passengers, increasing 19.6% from 2011. This year, we target 15-20% more passengers to become 24.5 million creating an income of US$3.47 billion in 2012.”

Satar continued: “By the end of 2013 Garuda and Citilink will operate 129 planes comprised of 104 Garuda aircraft and 35 from Citilink. The average age of our aircraft will be 4.2 years. In keeping with our Quantum Leap Program, Garuda will be operating 194 planes in 2015.”
