Laguna Resort & Spa to Host Six-Course Culinary Event Featuring Wines from Jansz Estate, The Naked Range on Friday, August 30, 2013

(7/1/2013) The Laguna Resort & Spa invites wine connoisseurs to indulge in a six-course degustation dinner on Friday, August 30, 2013, featuring the wines of Victoria, Australia from Jansz Estate, the Naked Range.

 
Guests will enjoy a culinary journey specially prepared by executive chef, Made Putra, to accompany and wines by Jansz Estate, the Naked Range.

Sommelier Yudhi Suryawan will carefully pair wines  for each course  of the evening.  Also on hand for the evening will be Mike & Brigit Jansz – to share anecdotes of their genuinely Australian Story of wine-making on the Naked Range.
 
The evening will commence at 7:00 pm with Champagne, cocktails, and canapés at Arwana Terrace Bar followed by the dinner at 7:30 pm.
 
Dinner including wines is at Rp. 1.100.000 net per person (US$110).

Jansz Estate & Naked Range
 
Jansz Estate is a family-owned vineyard and winery, established in 1995 by the Jansz Family. The Estate is nestled in the foothills of the King Lake Range, located 40 kilometers northeast of Melbourne and on the western fringe of the Yarra Valley Wine Region.
 
The Yarra Valley Wine Region is very unique, the wide range of Topography found within its borders, its varying microclimates and most of all its soil types, produce wines, which are as unique as the region itself.

The soils at the Jansz Estate vineyard are lean and boney, recorded as being amongst the oldest on earth and with low nutritional value, but ideal for producing fine, cool climate wines. 
 
Naked Range, one of the Premium Estate Labels produced at the Jansz Estate, has a logo emblematic of a naked woman’s reclining figure, mirroring the outline of the mountain range located  northwest of the vineyard. 
 
This label is includes selected parcels of Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Merlot blend, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Each Vintage is an extension of what comes naturally and the passion to produce fine wine on a sustainable basis by the purest of means.
 
Chef Made Putra
 
Chef I Made Putra has been with The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali for almost 15 years starting his career as sous chef and helping to lead the Resort’s culinary team to its leading position among star-rated resorts in Bali. Along the way, He has managed 2 restaurants, in-room dining and banquet meeting facilities able to accommodate up to 600 persons.
 
Chef I Made Putra is also an active participant as president of Bali’s chef association  - Bali Culinary Professionals ( BCP).

Chef I Made Putra has earned a reputation as an astute planner and trusted leader who enjoys the day-to-day contact he has with staff and colleagues. Among the awards and accolades he has received is the “King of Kitchen Southeast Asia” and “Chef of the Year” from  Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards 2008 - 2010 (HAPA) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 
In 2005, Chef Putra was worked as a Super chef on Allez Cuisine – a cooking competition held by Indosiar TV.
