TigerAir Mandala Launching Daily Flights Between Bali and Hong Kong

(10/18/2013) Tigerair Mandala have announced the opening of a new route between Hong Kong and Bali beginning December 15, 2013 and from Surabaya to Hong Kong on December 16, 2013.

Tigerair is also adding its fifth daily frequency between Jakarta and Singapore on October 27, 2013, bringing to nine (including Tigerair Singapore) the number of daily flights between those two cities.

Paul Rombeek, the president director of Tiger Mandala, told the press on Thursday, October 17, 2013: “This is an important achievement for us, at this time we are the only low cost carrier flying directly between Jakarta and Hong Kong and now we are connecting two more cities in Indonesia with Hong Kong.”

He explained that at the beginning of this year (2013), Tigerair had no routes between Jakarta and Singapore. But, now, only six months after opening that route the airline is flying five daily flights between Jakarta and Singapore. “This shows the rapid development of Tigerair Mandala and our commitment to continue to grow our network and expand our business,” said Rombeek.

Denpasar (Bali) and Surabaya will become the second and third cities in Indonesia to offer direct flights on Tigerair Mandala to Hong Kong following the launch of the airlines Jakarta-Hong Kong service in July 2013.

Denpasar remains one of Indonesia’s most popular tourism destinations, while Surabaya is one of the Country’s busiest business hubs.

To launch the new service, Tigerair Mandala is offering fares beginning from Rp. 1.6 million (US$139) for Surabaya-Hong Kong and Rp. 1.8 million (US$156) for Denpasar-Hong Kong. These prices are before taxes and other charges.
