12-Arrests Made in Pre-Holiday Crack Down on Criminal Activity in Bali
The State News Agency Antara reports that the Denpasar Police Precinct and the Transnational and Organized Crime Task Force (CTOC) are ready to keep the peace and crush and criminal elements seeking to operate in Bali in the lead-up to Christmas and New Years.
The Head of the Denpasar Police Headquarters, Ruddi Setiawan, said on Thursday, November 29, 2018, “Our commitment is proven by the recent arrest of 12 criminal over the past week.”
Those arrested were charged by police for violent theft, assault, pick-pocketing, and snatch thievery.
Police and CTOC officers are conducting night patrols and special operations directed at areas where criminals congregate.
Setiawan has also issued a “shoot to kill” order to his officers if any armed criminal attempts to resist arrest. In the recent arrest of the 12 men, 3 were shot in the legs by police.
