Russian Investor Eyes Bali Cable Car Project at Bukit Abang, Kintamani
Balipost.com reports that a Russian investor has expressed interest in building a cable car attracting at Bukit Abang in Kintamani.
To date, the potential investor has held discussions with the Bangli Regency Administration and community leaders from three villages in the Regency.
The proposed cable car will cover a distance of 3 kilometers.
The head of the “Local Working Group (LWG),” confirmed on Thursday, April 5, 2018, that the investor has met with community leaders in the three villages of Suter, Abang Batu Dinding and Abang Songan.
In those meetings the Russian Investor said the Bukit Abang area offers beautiful panoramic views of Mount Agung and Lake Batur.
The Russian indicated that is the Bali Cable Car Project, if built, will enhance the local economy of the people of Bangli and help address the need for investment outside the southern regions of Bali.
In order to avoid infringing on sacred temple areas, the proposed cable car would be constructed in the eastern side of Pura Bubung Renteng, allowing people to arrive at the peak of the mountain in only 13-15 minutes.
