Russian Arrested For Dealing Cocaine in Kuta, Bali

Detik.com reports that a Russian national, Russia, Rybnokov Vladimir Aleksandrovich (44), is under arrest in Bali for dealing in narcotics and violating immigration rules.

Aleksandrovich was arrested on April 27, 2018, in front of the Miranda Star Shop on Jalan Majapahit in Kuta carrying 4 grams of cocaine. When police apprehended the Russian he refused requests for police to open a book he was carrying in the seat compartment of his motorcycle in which he had concealed 5 small packets of narcotics.

In announcing the arrest on June 6, 2018, the head of the Kuta Police Precinct did not apparently clarify the reason why the announcement of the arrest was delayed from his detention April 27, 2018.

Police said the Russian had been selling the cocaine to tourists from Rp. 2.5 million per gram.

Police say the Russian had overstayed his tourist visa in Bali by some 6 months.
