No Serious Injuries Results from Roll-Over Accident of Bus Filled with Chinese Tourists Near GWK Caused by Faulty Brakes
Failed brakes are being blamed for a Friday, July 27, 2018, accident that saw a 24-passenger bus carrying Chinese tourists overturn on Jalan Raya Uluwatu near Simpang Kali that took occured at 5:00 pm in the afternoon.
Nusa Bali reports that bus was passing Pura Tegehasi when the driver, Hamdan, lost control, started to swerve wildly and resulted in the bus rolling over. Emergency Search and Rescue workers immediately responded to the scene with rescue equipment and medical personnel. When rescue workers arrived they saw tourist trying to crawl out the windows of the overturned bus.
The bus was carrying 24-people comprised of 20 Chinese tourists, a driver, conductor, guide, and team leader.
No serious injuries resulted from the crash. All passengers on the bus received outpatient treatment at the Kasih Ibu Hospital in Nusa Dua for their minor injuries and released/
The bus traveling from the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Monument (GWK) to a restaurant on Jimbaran Beach sustained major damage in the incident.
