Indonesian Fuel Prices Lowered

Lower Prices at Indonesian Gas Pumps Effective Sunday, January 5, 2020.

The State-owned fuel company – PT Pertamina – has reduced its fuel prices at the start of 2020 in order to comply with a decision issued by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Keputusan Menteri (Kepmen) ESDM 187K/10/MEM/2019).

As reported by Balipost.com, the reduction in fuel prices was announced by the Vice President of Corporate Communication for Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, who confirmed the new price levels would become effective at midnight Sunday, January 5, 2020.

The price change affects four types of fuels: Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex and Dexlite. Differences in actual prices will vary from place to place in Indonesia due to the different taxation level impose on fuel sales (Pajak Bahan Bakar Kendaraan Bermotor - PBBKB).
