Keeping Bali Abreast on Fighting Breast Cancer
10th Bali Pink Ribbon Walk and Run at Nusa Dua, October 20, 2018
The 10th Bali Pink Ribbon 5 km Fun Walk and Run will return to the Indoesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) on Satruday, October 20, 2018.
Funds raised from the event supports breast cancer educational projects for women in Bali.
Gaye Warren, the founder of Bali Pink Ribbon said she is proud of the achievement of Bali Pink Ribbon over the past decade. She said that many Pink Ribbon activities need funding, including purchasing a mobile ultra-sound (USG) unit; the creation of a rest house in Denpasar for people undergoing cancer treatment; and the purchase of a minibus to transport patients and medical personnel to remote areas of the Island.
Participants in the October 20th Pink Ribbon Walk can run and walk while fund-raising for Pink Ribbon. During the day out at Nusa Dua free breast screening will be available, food trucks, live music amd a chance to memorialize woman whose lives have been touche in battling breast cancer. Prize in a range of activities and categories will be awarded, incuding a Kawasaki Trail motorcycle.
Tickets are on sale for Rp. 200,000 for runners covering a race bib, t-shirt, and finishing medal. Walkers can pay Rp. 150,000 that cover a t-shirt and a numbered bib.
