LOT Airline to Operate Twice Weekly Charter Flights to Bali Starting June 24, 2018
Detik.com reports that the Indonesian Director General of Civil Aviation, Agus Santoso, has welcomed plans by the Polish Airline LOT and Rainbow Tours to operate charter flights between Warsaw and Denpasar, Bali.
Santoso said his office would facilitate efforts to increase the flow of foreign tourists to Indonesia by granting flight permits in accordance with the existing rules and regulations.
In order for charter flights to land in Bali they need government issued flight clearances that, since 2015, can be arranged in Indonesia online.
The charter flights between Warsaw and Bali operated on LOT Airlines are scheduled to begin on June 24, 2018. The flights will operate twice weekly for the coming 4-5 months using an aircraft configured to carry 252 passengers.
LOT last operated charter flights to Bali in 2016.
The Indonesian rules on air charter operations will forbid LOT from carrying passengers out of Indonesia unless they first arrived in Indonesia on a LOT charter flight.
