Singh-Singh Cells at Kerobokan Prison for 18 Years

Two Indian National Sentenced to 18-Years Prison for Smuggling 2.8 kilograms of Methamphetamines into Bali

Two Indian nationals were sentenced to 18 years in prison on Thursday, 19 March 2020, for smuggling 2.756 kilograms of methamphetamines into Bali.on 2 September 2019.

The sentences that handed down to Manjet Singh (23) and Harvinder Singh (26) were two years less than the twenty years sought by State Prosecutors. The two were also fined Rp. 1 billion each for their crime that a failure to pay will result in 4 months of additional prison time. 

As reported by Balipost.com, the two were each paid Rp. 9 million to act as couriers for the drugs to be carried from Jakarta to Bali that they concealed in their luggage. 

Police found the two men and their stash of drugs while the men were staying at the Hotel Palm Bamboo in Bualu, South Kuta.
