Bali Prosecutors Seek 18-Year Sentence for Two Men Charged in Murder of Dutch Expatriate
As reported by, prosecutors are demanding 18 years in prison for two men charged with the brutal, premeditated murder of a Dutch expatriate in Bali on October 23, 2017 at the Puri Gading Housing Estate in Jimbaran.

On Thursday, May 3, 2018, prosecutors in demanding the long prison terms told the panel of judges that Winda Wilantara (23) from Lampung and Andika Budiyanto (30) from West Java have been proven to have murdered Dutchman Robert Geelhoud.

The two men had earlier told the court that they had come to Bali in search of employment when they met Geelhoud during an outing to Kuta Beach who offered them employment at his home in Bali.

The two men claimed Geelhoud had sexually molested them during their employment and, following an argument over severance terms, they plotted to kill the Dutchman and steal his automobile.

The trial continues awaiting the judges's ruling on guilt or innocence and final sentencing.
