Man Using a Falsified Blue Bird Taxi Driver ID at Bali Airport Facing Jail for Defrauding Arriving Passengers

Nyoman Nadi Cahyadi (42) who lives in South Kuta is undergoing trial in a Denpasar Courtroom for falsifying an identity card of a driver from the PT Blue Bird Group taxi group.
BeritaBali.com reports Cahyadi was arrested on March 26, 2019 in the international arrival terminal of Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport at approximately 3:00 pm following various received by police that an individual wearing a Blue Bird Driver’s ID was using the ID to defraud arriving passengers by offering unauthorized taxi services.
Prosecutors have told the Court that the use of the fake ID has caused losses and damages to PT Blue Bird, both materially and in terms of brand reputation.
Cahyadi told the judges that he purchased the fake ID from a man named Desak to be used as a freelance driver at the airport. He paid Desk Rp. 20,000 for the fake identity paper.
Cahyadi’s trial continues in the Denpasar District Court and faces a maximum possible sentence of 5 years.
