Tracking Elephants in Bali
Balidiscovery.com Shares a Video of Arjuna – a 7-month-old Baby Elephant Born from The Mason Elephant Park
In June 2019, Balidiscovery.com carried an article “At 121 Kilograms, a Labor of Love” including an intriguing video showing the birth of Arjuna, a baby male Sumatran elephant at The Mason Elephant Park & Lodge near Ubud, Bali.
Arjuna was born on June 25th to a 30-year-old female elephant rescued from South Sumatra, Fatimah, and a 20-year-old male elephant born at the Park, Ryan, following a typical gestation period of almost two years.
The Mason Elephant Park has won numerous awards and international certification for the very high level of care and attention provided to the herd of 32 elephants that live make their home at the park.
Balidiscovery.com has been monitoring the progress of Arjuna who is now hale and healthy at 7-months of age.
Nigel Mason, the owner of The Mason Elephant Park and Lodge, adores his entire herd of elephant, but obviously has a special place in his heart for the rare, precious, and oftentimes precocious babies born under his exacting care.
And, like any proud “father,” Nigel recently shared a recent video of "Baby Arjuna" taking a bath at the Park.
Balidiscovery.com shares that video via The Bali Discovery Tours Youtube.com Channel.
Bath Time for 7-month-old Arjuna
The Mason Elephant Park is a Bali destination “pregnant with possibilities” with the arrival of even more baby elephants expected over the coming three months.
One of Bali’s most popular animal park attractions, The Mason Elephant Park and Lodge is located in Taro, north of Ubud.
Arjuna and his extended family of 32 elephants can be viewed daily between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
