Jasa Marga Toll Plants 10,000 Trees in Bali’s Southern Mangrove

Thousands of trees were seeded in the protected mangrove forest area located alongside the Mandara Toll Road in Benoa, South Bali on Friday, November 23, 2018

Jasa Marga Bali Tol (JBT) the operators of the toll road undertook the planting in order to help “green” the mangrove adjoining the toll road as Bali heads into the another rainy season. As reported by Beritabali.com, local student volunteers participated in the planting.

To date, JBT has planted more than 45,000 seedlings in the large mangrove area of Benoa Bay, plus 10,000 more planted in the Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest (Tahura Ngurah Rai) at Benoa on Friday, November 23, 2018.

“Today’s planting of trees in the mangrove is the largest single effort to date,” said the CEO of JBT, Enkky Sasono, at the effort meant to mark the 7th anniversary of the Toll Road. “Past planting have each been for 3,000 – 5,000 trees. We have now reached a total of 45,000 trees.”
