Bali Horticulture Tour

Rich volcanic soil and a rich variety of climates from humid mangroves to cool mountain-lake districts makes Bali host to an almost endless array of tropical plants and flowers. This is a tour for keen gardeners and lovers of flora..

Begins with a visit to the well-established and carefully cultivated gardens of the Bali Hyatt Hotel at Sanur – a respository to a rich array of tropical plants and palms.

Then, depart for the botanical gardens of Bedugul, 325 acres of tropical rain forest set on the side of a volcanic mountain. See sections of the park dedicated exclusively to orchids, palms and medicinal plants.

Lunch at Puri Lumbung - a small hilltop resort offering expansive views of the valley below located in Munduk, the drive there allow a glimpse of the cool hills while witnessing the dramatic change in plant-life that occurs at higher altitudes. On the grounds of the resort, discover pepper, vanilla, and cacao growing along the pathways.

On the trip back south, a stop at the colorful market of "Candi Kuning" in Bedugul to see the wide variety of local produce including fruits, vegetables and spices.
