The Indonesian Central Government has announced the dates for the observance of national holidays in 2022. There will be 16 national holidays celebrated in 2022, while “shared holidays” established initially to create long weekends and stimulate domestic tourism are, at least temporarily, being held in abeyance while accessing the developing COVID-19 situation.
Mukhadjir Effendy, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, announced the 16-day schedule on Wednesday, 22 September 2021. The dates are contained with a Joint Ministerial Decisions from the Minister of Manpower and Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Number 963 of 2021, Number 3 – 2021, Number 4 – 2021 regarding National Holidays and Shared Holidays.

- Thursday, 03 March 2022 – Hari Raya Nyepi and Balinese New Year Saka 1944
- Friday, 15 April 2022 – Good Friday, the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
