The Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform have formally announced the 27 National Public Holidays and 10 Collective Shared Holidays for 2025.
The holidays for 2025 were stipulated in a joint ministerial decree (Nomor: 1017 Tahun 2024, Nomor: 2 Tahun 2024, dan Nomor 2: Tahun 2024 tentang Hari Libur Nasional dan Cuti Bersama Tahun 2025).
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, Muhadjir Effendy, said the 2025 list of “days off” is intended to serve as guides for the public and private sectors in planning their activities for the year ahead,
The “days offs” for 2025 equal the number of holidays in 2024. Any increase in the number of holidays can only be announced with the prior approval of the Indonesian President.
The joint ministerial decree has stipulated the following National Public Holidays and Collective Shared Holidays for 2025:
- Wednesday 01 January 2025 – New Year’s Day
- Monday, 27 January 2025 – Isra Mikraj Nabi Muhammad SAW /Miraculous Night Journey of the Prophet Muhammad.
- Tuesday, 28 January 2025 – Collective Shared Holiday (Imlek)
- Wednesday, 29 January 2025 – Chinese New Year (Imlek) 2576 Kongsili
- Friday, 28 March 2025 – Collective Shared Holiday (Nyepi)
- Saturday, 29 March 2025 – “Nyepi” Bali-Hindu Day of Silence.
- Monday, 31 March 2025 – Eid al-Fitr/ Idul Fitri 1446 Hijriah / Lebaran.
- Tuesday, 01 April 2025 – Eid al-Fitr/ Idul Fitri 1446 Hijriah / Lebaran
- Wednesday, 02 April 2025 – Collective Shared Holiday (Lebaran)
- Thursday, 03 April 2025 – Collective Shared Holiday (Lebaran)
- Friday, 04 April 2025 – Collective Shared Holiday (Lebaran)
- Monday, 07 April 2025 – Collective Shared Holiday (Lebaran)
- Friday, 18 April 2025 – Ascension Day of Jesus Christ
