Tribune-Bali.com reports that commencing 17 September 2024, the Russian flag carrier AEROFLOT will start connecting Moscow and Denpasar, Bali.
The social media reports on the new Moscow-Bali flights were subsequently officially confirmed by Handy Heryudhitiawan, the general manager of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, who confirmed the future AEROFLOT Service, saying his office remains in communication with the Russian airline.
Handy said: “Operationally, we are, of course, ready to serve any airlines that satisfy the regulatory requirements, which include flight slot reservations, flight permits, and technical preparations.”
Handy shared that 95,000 Russian nations had passed through Bali’s airport over the past seven months. Explaining, “Through July, based on data received from immigration, there were 95,911 Russians who entered Bali via Bali’s airport.”
Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport currently serves 36 international routes flown by 39 airlines and 22 domestic routes flown by 11 airlines.
The Denpasar—Moscow service will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The return flight from Moscow to Denpasar will fly on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The new Moscow to Bali inaugural service will be operated as SU 0296 using an Airbus 350-900 aircraft. The Aircraft is scheduled to depart Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Alexander S. Pushkin Airport on 17 September at 2:40 pm local time and touch down in Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport at 8:05 am on 18 September.
The return leg on SU 0297 will leave Bali at 10:05 am and land in Moscow at 5:55 pm local time.
