The Jakarta Post reports that the Lion Air Group is expanding intra-regional travel in the East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) with the establishment of a new air route connecting Ruteng. Manggarai Regency, in West Flores with Kupang, the Provincial Capital of NTT.
The Lion Air low-cost subsidiary Wings Air will commence the new route on 24 November 2020.
Using ATR 72-500 and ATR-600 turbo-prop aircraft, the flight leaves Kupang’s El Tari International Airport at 7:00 am WITA, landing in Ruteng at 8:30 am WITA. The return leg leaves Fran Sales Lega Airport at 8:50 am, touching down in Kupang at 10:20 am.
The corporate communication officer of Wings Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoto, said the new flight service would operate in aircraft using a 2-2 seat configuration daily. One-way ticket prices start from Rp. 700,000.
