Air Busan Brings More South Korean to Bali

With the recent and rapid addition of new flights connecting South Korea to Bali, South Korean travel to Bali is set to Boom. Following the recent inauguration of flights from Incheon to Denpasar by Jeju Airline, Another South Korean air carrier, Air Busan, flying from Busan to Bali, made its inaugural landing at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on Wednesday, 30 October 2024.

Beritabadung. id reports that Air Busan will fly between Buan and Bali four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Air Busan landed in Bali on 30 October 2024 using an Airbus 321 aircraft, which landed at 11:45 pm local time and carried 212 passengers. The aircraft was welcomed with a traditional water canon salute provided by the Airport Emergency Response Team, with disembarking passengers presented with floral garlands.

Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, General Manager of the Bali Airport management company – PT Angkasa Pura I- enthusiastically welcomed the latest flight from South Korea. Adding: “We congratulate Air Busan on its inaugural flight to Bali. In a relatively short time, Bali has received two new direct flights from South Korea, from Incheon and Busan. This fact signifies South Koreans’ growing interest in Bali as a tourist destination.”

In 2023, a total of 236,030 South Koreans traveled to Bali, ranking as the seventh largest source of foreign visitors to the Island. Tourism and aviation officials are confident that the number of Korean visitors to Bali will grow significantly with additional flights between South Korea and Bali.

Through the end of Q3 2024, South Korean arrivals to Bali remained strong, totaling 220,033. 

Incheon is the Airport that serves South Korea’s capital, home to a population of over 9.5 million. Busan has a population of 3,3 million.

Through the end of September 2024, Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport handled 17.9 million arriving and departing passengers from 23.6 million passengers projected through the end of the year.

Bali’s Airport now serves 40 international routes operated by 42 airlines flying to 19 countries.
