Bali Air Passengers on Slow Rise

July Passengers Increase at Bali Airport

Tribunebali.com predicts that Bali will experience an increase in aircraft movements and passengers at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport in July 2020 compared to the previous month of June.

For the period 01 July – 13 July 2020, Bali’s Airport averaged 31 flights per day. Andanina Dyah Permatasari Mega, the spokesperson for PT Angkasa Pura I that manage the aerodrome said on Tuesday, 14 July: “On the average domestic and international flights reached 31 flight per day. During the same period, 23,099 arriving and departing passengers passed through the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.”

Of the 31 flights operating each day, 28 were domestic flights with the remaining three international flights.

The domestic destinations served by the relatively small number of flights were dominated by airplanes flying to Jakarta, Surabaya, Lombok, Makassar, Waingapu, Tambolaka, and Semarang.

Andanina Dyah Permatasari Mega said optimism that aircraft and passenger movements will continue to increase had prompted PT Angkasa Pura I to increase operational capacities to 50%.

The Airport Spokesperson said the Management of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport is steadfast in its commitment to stringently implement “new normal” health protocols in every aspect of its operations to prevent any further spread of COVID-19 in Bali.
