The Director General of Immigration, Silmy Karin, reports that foreign tourist arrivals to Bali have increased significantly year-on-year from January to August 2024.
During the first eight months of 2023, a total of 3,614,896 foreign tourists visited Bali. For the same eight-month period in 2024, foreign visitors increased by 22.62% to a total of 4.465.685.

During the same period, 4,481,909 foreign nations departed Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Slimy credits the record number of visitors to Bali to the Island’s strong attraction as a tourist destination and the ability of visitors to secure visas online.
