Air India, the flag carrier airline of India, has taken over air routes formerly operated by Vistara and, effective immediately, will fly daily between New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Denpasar’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS).
Flying daily, the Air India Flight will depart New Delhi at 22:40, arriving in Bali at 08:20 the following morning. The return westbound flight leaves Bali at 10:35. All times listed are local.
The flights will be operated using Air India’s Boeing B787-8 Dreamliners.
The new flight service begins a strategic collaboration between Air India and PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE). JAE is a leading Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) service provider in Indonesia with over 20 years of experience. Through this collaboration, JAE will support Air India’s operations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, by providing Aircraft Certification services, Technical Ramp, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE), which focuses on technical support.
Air India’s extensive global network spans 29 countries across five continents, connecting India with major destinations in the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, Australia, and the Middle East.
Air India is saluting the new services to Bali – a globally famous tourist destination that offers natural beauty, recreational activities, and rich cultural heritage.
Iman Sinambela, President Director of PT JAS Aero Engineering Services, welcomed the new flight service, stating, “We are thankful to Air India for entrusting us to handle its flight operations in Denpasar. With over two decades of experience as MRO service provider, we strive for further growth and to support air connectivity. We look forward to seeing Air India’s network expansion to other cities in Indonesia.”
