Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City is now connected by direct air flights to Bali, with the commencement of service by VietJet Air on Thursday, 28 April 2022.
The inaugural VJ893 flight landed at 1:38 pm with 201 passengers on board. The Ho Chi Minh City – Denpasar route will operate daily.
PT Angkasa Pura I, the company that manages Bali’s airport, personally welcomed the flight with a ceremonial “water salute” provided by the Airport fire brigade. A large group of provincial leaders was also on hand to mark the occasion.
The arrival of VietJet brings to 10 the number of international destinations now connected to the Island of Bali: Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, Istanbul, Perth, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City.
VietJet has become the 13th airline operating international flights to Bali: Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar Asia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Scoot, Malaysia Airlines, Jetstar Airways, Qatar Airways, AirAsia, Turkish Airlines, Thai AirAsia, and Qantas.
