Bali’s Governor Wayan Koster is a fervent champion of arak – the “home-brewed” alcoholic beverage of Bali. This popular drink uses the sap of lontar palm trees, coconut juice, rice, or fruits fermented and distilled with spices, honey, and fruit.

Governor Koster is actively promoting arak consumption both at home and abroad. For what he claims was health purposes, Koster recently urged people living in Bali to consume a serving of arak to start and again at the end of each day.

In support of the Provincial program to promote the Island’s home brewery products and “Bali Arak Day” (Hari Arak Bali) that fell on 29 January 2023, we’re sharing six arak-based mixology recipes recently published by Bali Tours Clubs and Balipost.com.
