Bali’s iconic Garuda Wisnu Kencana Monument Park (GWK), located on the highest point of the Ungasan Peninsula, now offers digital ticketing to ease access, particularly for visitors over the busy peak holiday periods.
The Operations Director of GWK, Stefanus Yonathan Astayasa, quoted by the State News Agency Antara, said: “Visitors can digitally purchase their tickets online, obtaining a barcode that will eliminate the need to stand in line.”
Tickets purchased online will cost only Rp. 115,000 as compared to Rp. 125,000.
GWK projects between 6,000 to 8,000 daily visitors during peak holiday periods, such as Lebaran. Average daily attendance at the Park in 2022 totaled 2,000 to 2,500.
Park officials have increased staff by 20% to handle steadily growing visitor numbers.
The Head of Communications for GWK, Andre Prawiradisastra, reports that parking capacity has increased at the Park to accommodate around 2,000 cars and 200 busses.
While visiting the monument, guests can avail themselves of side attractions that include:
- An animated movie, “The Adventure of Garuda Cilik,” shown at the “Garuda Sineloka Mini Cinema.”
