BeritaBali.com and Balipost.com report that a fire destroyed the kitchen of the Cakrawala Restaurant on Jalan Danau Bunyan in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali, on Friday morning, 08 November 2024. A female employee of the restaurant suffered burns in the incident and was transported to the Bali Mandara Hospital for further treatment.
The Chief of the Denpasar Fire Brigade, I Made Tirana, told the press that his office received the report of the fire in the restaurant’s kitchen area measuring 4 x 5 meters at 10:55 am.
Four fire engines were dispatched to the fire scene and extinguished the blaze in around 45 minutes, with the fire damage mainly limited to the kitchen area.
The female employee who suffered burns to her hands was rushed to the nearby Bali Mandara Hospital for treatment.
Chief Tirana said the fire remains under investigation and cannot yet confirm how the fire started.
Social media posts suggest the fire may be linked to a leaking LPG tank used in the restaurant.
