Travel Weekly reports that the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced its intention to open a new luxury resort and branded residences on Bali’s south coast in 2027.
Located on a limestone cliff towering over the Indian Ocean and adjacent to a white sand beach, the project, being built in collaboration with Developer Harmoni Bali, will offer 110 suites and villas. Most of the units will offer private pools, terraces, or gardens.
Guests and hotel visitors can choose between a cliff-edge restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a speakeasy bar, and a beach club. The resort will also offer a comprehensive spa, wellness treatments, a Kids’ Club, tennis and padel courts, and access to two nearby golf courses – Bukit Pandawa and Bali National Golf Club.
The property is designed by Design Lab Architects with interior design by Jeffrey Wilkes and landscaping by Bill Bensley. The development’s brief calls for a resort that will reflect Balinese culture while incorporating Mandarin Oriental’s standards of luxury. Laurent Kleitman, CEO of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, highlighted the project’s commitment to blending elegance with tranquility.
The branded residences will consist of 68 private villas, ranging from 3 to 6 bedrooms, located on an 8-hectare site above the resort. Residents will enjoy a clubhouse with various amenities, including a gym and swimming pool and open access to the resort’s facilities.
Located 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the hotel will be the latest addition to the island’s extensive collection of world-class luxury resorts.
