Mozaic Team Revisits The Legian 24-26 Sept

Following the successful 25th Anniversary Celebration at The Legian Seminyak, Bali, in late August 2021, the Mozaic Team returns for another three-day engagement 24 – 26 September 2021.

The Legian Seminyak

Chris Salan’s Mozaic Team will be on hand over the three days demonstrating, once againwhy Ubud’s Mozaic Restaurant is ranked among the world’s best and why its founder-chef was recently appointed to the prestigious Association des Maîtres Cuisiniers de France and also named a chevalier of France’s Légion d’honneur.

Each return engagement at The Legian Seminyak, Bali, celebrates Chris Salans’ roots, revisiting his first foothold on the Island that was to become his adoptive home and the launching pad of inspiration for the remarkable culinary journey to follow.

Chris Salans

A published author of award-winning cookery books, Chris’ unique personal history magically intermingles the culinary traditions of the New World – his place of birth; the gastronomical eloquence of France – bestowed via formal training as a young chef in the homeland of his Mother; and professional expertise acquired in France and New York guided by the world’s leading chefs.

Spending more than 25 years in Bali has left Salans with a passion for Asian cuisine and an understanding of the rich array of natural ingredients found in the region. The results of his eager embrace of Asian ingredients and the French cooking style results in dishes unlike those found anywhere else.

Admired both at home in Indonesia and internationally, Chris has served as a judge on Top Chef Indonesia and Iron Chef Indonesia. His impressive resume also includes a stint as consultant chef to the national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia. Befitting a legendary celebrity chef, Chirs Salans is instantly recognizable among Asia’s growing circle of “foodies.”

Returning to The Legian Seminyak, Bali 24-26 September 2021

Those who missed the first “Weekend with Chris Salans” or are eager to repeat the experience can secure a booking for one of the limited seats available for any of the following dining opportunities spread across three days.

Friday, 24 September – A Seafood Affair

Friday’s Seafood Affair features fresh seafood and live Jazz performance with a curated selection of wines presented by The Legian’s Head Sommelier, Suartika.

The fun begins with crafted cocktails, wines, and Champagne accompanied by canapés at 4:00 pm at The Champagne Bar.

As the sun settles off The Legian’s Beachfront, the focus of attention shifts to The Restaurant, where Chris has prepared a choice of à la carte and set menus available from 5:30 until 9:00 pm.

View Friday’s evening’s A’la Carte and Table D’hote menus and book one of the limited seats available at the dinner table.

The Table D’hote menu for the evening is Rp. 690,000 per person. Prices are subject to 11% government tax and 10% service charge.

Seats are limited, and strict COVID-19 protocols apply.

Saturday, 25 September – Saturday “ad hoc” Mozaic Dinner

The evening’s title of “ad hoc” echoes “for this purpose” – the original purpose that inspired the establishment of The Restaurant a quarter-century ago. The purpose remains unchanged – creating and curating fresh and delicious food for guests based on only the finest ingredients available in Bali’s traditional markets.

Chris Salans’ talented culinary team will fashion each course, accompanied by curated wine selections presented by Head Sommelier Suartika.

Saturday ad hoc features live jazz performance to add, in an ad hoc manner – of course, to the merriment of the evening.

As it did the previous evening, conviviality commences with expertly crafted cocktails, wines, and Champagne accompanied by canapés starting from 4:00 pm at The Champagne Bar.

Dinner’s served from 5:30 until 9:00 pm in The Restaurant with a choice of à la carte or a set menu.

In keeping with the spirit of remaining ad hoc, the menu will be truly ad hoc and only decided on Friday, 24 September 2021, following an exacting survey of the local markets for the availability of the most outstanding ingredients.

The public is welcome to monitor the menu online or telephone the hotel beginning from 24 September for menu details. Pricing for a three-course menu is Rp. 690,000 per person. Prices are subject to 11% government tax and 10% service charge.

Again, seating is limited, and strict COVID-19 protocols apply.

Sunday, 26 September – Sunday Jazz Brunch

Spend the last day of the Chris Salans’ three-day event with a relaxing day of sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying Indian Ocean Views while overlooking The Legian’s Swimming Pool.

Those joining the Sunday Jazz Brunch are also welcome to use the pool, partake of the Wellness facilities, enjoy beach access, or delight their children with kids’ activities – specially prepared for the younger set’s entertainment.

Alfresco and enclosed dining options are available with live jazz music performed for brunch-time diners’ listening pleasure.

The Sunday Jazz Brunch is presented at The Restaurant and on the immediately adjoining poolside deck area.

Link to view the à la carte and table d’hote menus .

A children’s menu is also available.

Enjoy the brunch set menu for Rp. 600,000. For a total package price of Rp. 1,1500,000 per person enjoy free-flow sparkling wine, still wines, and cocktails. Prices are subject to 11% government tax and 10% service charge.

COVID-19 health and hygiene protocols apply.
