Air Asia Expands its Domestic Routes

Air Asia Offers New Routes From Air Hubs in Bali and Lombok

As reported by DenPost, on Thursday, August 1, 2019, Air Asia opened five new Indonesian domestic air routes emphasizing the carrier's focus on eastern Indonesia and its new Lombok Air Hub.

The Airline’s new routes are:

  • Lombok – Bali
  • Bali – Labuan Bajo (Flores and Komodo)
  • Lombok – Jakarta
  • Lombok – Kulonprogo (Yogyakarta)
  • Surabaya – Kertajati (Bandung)

The Head of Communications for Air Asia, Baksoro Adiwiyono, said that the Airline would soon be adding routes between Jakarta – Sorong and Jakarta – Semarang.

Air Asia operates from five bases or hubs in Indonesia: Bali, Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya and Lombok.

Commenting on complaints about the high cost of domestic air travel in Indonesia, Baksoro said the Air Asia remains competitive in its pricing and firmly committed to its slogan of “Now Every One Can Fly.”
