October-November 2019 Marks the Start of Bali’s Rainy Season
RadarBali reports that Bali’s extended dry season will soon come to an end.
The Head of the Data and Information Section of the Meteorology, Climate, and Geophysics Agency in Denpasar (BKMG-District III), Iman Fatchurochman, said the dry season is forecasted to end in late October or early November 2019.
Across Bali’s 15 climate zones, each zone will commence its rainy season as the month of November progresses.
The forecast for rains on Bali’s weather horizon was also confirmed by the head of Bali’s Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD). The last areas to experience the rainy season in Bali will be areas of the Island’s north shore, Central Bali, and Nusa Penida who will receive their dosage of rainfall by the latest in December.
October is traditionally a transitional season with spats of heavy rains and strong winds occurring in isolated areas certain to occur bringing with it the possibility of flash flooding and landslides.
Bali’s BKMG and BPBD urges the public to remain on alert.
