Bali arrivals are returning to pre-pandemic levels, with Australians dominating the totals of all tourist visitors.
For January – July 2024, Bali counted 3.892.714 foreign visitors landing at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Australians are the most numerous nationalities visiting Bali, followed by India, Mainland China, English, the UK, South Korea, the USA, France, Malaysia, Singapore, and Germany.
According to Pramella Yunidar Pasaribu, head of the Bali District Office for Law and Human Rights (Kakanwil Kemenkumham), 877,329 Australians visited Bali during the first half of 2024. During the same period, Indian travelers (328,767) and Mainland Chinese (278.329) complemented the top three visitor groupings.
As a leading Bali immigration official, Pramella reiterated immigration’s commitment to intensifying supervision and monitoring foreigners visiting and living in Bali. She stated, “We will continue to increase supervision of the presence and activities of foreigners in Bali. This is done to maintain security, order, and comfort for the entire community, including tourists.”
Pramella said her office will work closely with related agencies, such as the Police, Immigration, and the Tourism Office, to ensure effective and integrated supervision. She added, “Although supervision will be tightened, Bali will continue to welcome tourists in a friendly and open manner.”
With the increase in foreign tourists, Bali’s tourism sector is expected to grow and contribute positively to the local economy. “We want to ensure that every tourist who comes to Bali can comfortably and safely enjoy its natural beauty and culture.
