The Indonesian Government maintains a priority list of large-scale National Strategic Projects (PSN). This list involves many sectors, such as toll roads, dams, port facilities, airports, and Special Economic Zone Projects (SEZ).
As reported by Kompas.com, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy has issued Regulation Number 21 of 2022 on the Second Revision of the Coordinating Minister Regulation Number 7 of 2021, addressing changes to the Priority List of National Strategic Projects (PSN).
Following guidance provided by President Joko Widodo, projects now labeled as priorities in the PSN are programs capable of being completed at the latest in the First Semester of 2024. The President has also directed that the payment for the prioritized projects must not use funds from the National Budget (APBN). The prioritized projects selected should demonstrate an ability to accelerate the nation’s economic growth.
The National Strategic Priority Projects in Bali are:
- The Toll Road connecting Gilimanuk-Negara-Pekutatan-Soka-Mengwi
- The port facilities in Sanur and Nusa Ceningan/Nusa Lembongan
- The creation of the Bali Maritime Hub at Benoa Harbor
- The Special Economic Zone in Sanur for the Bali International Hospital Project.
