RI Invites Flight between Bali & India

Indonesia Invites India to Start Direct Flights to Bali.

The Ministry of Tourism and the Creative Economy has reached out and extended an invitation to the Indian Embassy in Jakarta to establish direct flights between India and Bali’s Island.  

As reported by, Minister Sandiaga delivered the request for an air bridge between India and Bali during a discussion with Indian Ambassador Shri Manoj Kumar Bharti held in Ubud on Wednesday, 17 March 2021.

“I have just finished a discussion about reopening Bali with direct flights from India. We are preparing for this with supplemental steps and cooperating in areas that include investment, trade, tourism, and the creative economy sector,” explained Minister Sandiaga.

Santiaga added: “Our hope is for enhanced bilateral cooperation that will enliven our spirits, widen our opportunities, and open new opportunities for Bali (tourism) to rise again, and the Indonesian economy to be restored.”

Indian Ambassador Meets Bali’s Deputy Governor

Minister Sandiaga revealed that both Indonesia and India have discussed exchanging technological expertise. Bearing in mind that Indian technology is very adept in developing the digital economy, Sandiaga believes that such technology can be used to develop Indonesia’d traditional tourism villages. 

The Indonesian Minister urged that Indonesia and India strengthen their bilateral connections to each country’s mutual benefit. The Indonesian Minister’s desire was echoed by the Indian Ambassador Shri Manoj Kumar Bharti.
