Saturday, 02 October 2021 – Nasi Ayam Dewatan
The second evening of LHM Street Food Series is a collaboration with Nasi Ayam Kedewatan by Ibu Mangku from Sayan Ridge on the outskirts of Ubud. Nasi Ayam is a staple of the Island’s diet, and the take on this dish from “Ibu” or “Mother” Mangku’s has long placed the restaurant on the “must visit” list of Bali visitors and residents alike.
A landmark since it first opened in 1963, this restaurant’s primary offering is “Nasi Bali” featuring an array of chicken-based specialties that include Lilit Ayam (minced chicken satay), a marinated boiled egg, crispy fried chicken skin, Ayam Betutu (chicken fried in Balinese betutu spices), lawar vegetables, fried roasted peanuts, and a “de reiguer condimentation” of Balinese sambal mata.
For its one-day visit to The Restaurant at The Legian Seminyak, Bali on 02 October, the “Nasi Ayam” or “Nasi Bali” prepared by the visiting team from Nasi Ayam Kedewatan will use free-range organic chicken raised with care and affection by Wanaprasta Organic Farm on the outskirts of Ubud. “Wanaprasta” means “return to nature” in ancient Sanskrit, with the chicken raised under this mantra organically nurtured in a chemical-free and abuse-free environment.

Sunday, 03 October 2021 – Sunday Jazz Brunch Presented by ziBiru Cucina Italian
What better way to while away a tropical Sunday afternoon in Bali than participating in a pranzo in familiglia – an authentic family-style Italian Sunday Bunch prepared by esteemed Italian Chef and proprietor of ziBiru Restaurant. Founded by Chef Luigi Calcagno in 2012, ziBiru has been unwavering in its commitment to presenting “made-from-scratch regional Italian cuisine,” including its freshly handmade pasta dishes.
Born in Rome and raised in a family of culinary professionals, Luigi briefly strayed from his career path while pursuing university degrees in mass communication, marketing, journalism, and classical philosophy.
Hunger and his hard-wiring for a life in the kitchen eventually brought young Luigi back to his ancestral calling and leadership roles in kitchens in New York, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Luxembourg, and Italy. Eventually, Bali beckoned and brought Luigi and his passion for regional Italian cuisine to Bali, where he established ziBiru in August 2012, focusing on fine alfresco dining.
During his one-day engagement at The Restaurant at The Legian Seminyak, Bali, Chef Luigi Calcagno will be in his element preparing an authentic Italian brunch for convivial dining overlooking the Resort’s pools with views to the nearby Indian Ocean. Diners can bring their families and punctuate their meal from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm with repeated dips in the pool.
Towels and changing rooms are available to Jazz Brunch participants.
The price for the set menu is Rp. 650,000 per person or Rp. 1,250,000 per person to include free-flow wines, cocktails, and beers. All prices are subject to 11 percent government tax and 10 percent service.
A children’s menu is also available, while adults can sample a lavish table d’hôte menu or an à la carte menu.
