Wing Air, a subsidiary of the Lion Air Group, is adding three additional flights daily connecting Bali and the island of Sumba.
On Tuesday, 23 July 2024, 3 new daily flights will connect Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport with the Lede Kalumbang Airport at Tambaloka (TMC) in Sumba Barat Day, East Nusa Tenggara.
Danang Mandala Prihantoro, Corporate Strategic Communications Manager for Wing Air, said on 23 July 2024: “The LionAir Group supports the development of the economy and tourism in East Indonesia through better air networks. Additional flight frequencies will make Tambaloka better known, making it a favorite destination for domestic and international travelers.”
West Sumba has much to recommend itself as an up-and-coming tourism destination. Rolling green mountains and the Lapopu panoramic waterfall make Tambaloka an ideal holiday destination. Travelers seeking a cultural experience will also find this area offers attractive traditional markets and busy weaving centers creating the world-famous ikat cloths of Sumba.
