BBN Air -New Aviation Player, Daily JKT-DPS

A new domestic Indonesian air carrier – Blue Bird Nordic Airlines (BBN Airlines Indonesia), commenced flight operations on 27 September 2024, traveling between Jakarta to Bali, Surabaya, and Balikpapan.

Flights by BBN Airlines to Bali, Surabaya, and Balikpapan operate daily to each destination.

As reported by Kompas.com, BBN Airlines flights are now available for purchase from major online travel outlets.

Blue Bird Nordic (BBN) Airlines Indonesia is a subsidiary of the Avia Solutions Group, part of the world’s largest ACMI operation (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance). BBN Airlines Indonesia was established in Jakarta in August 2022.

Aviation observers hope that the added competition represented by the BBN Airlines operation will help reduce the cost of domestic air travel by 10% by the end of October 2024. The price listed by BBN Airlines on 07 October 2024 for a one-way ticket from Jakarta – Bali is Rp. 1,167,933. Meanwhile, the online ticket site listed Rp. 1,065,526 for a BBN Airlines flight from Jakarta to Surabaya and Rp.1,328,808 for a flight from Jakarta to Balikpapan.
