Car Abandoned for 15 Months at Bali Airport.

RadarBali.com reports the peculiar case of someone forgetting where they parked their car at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. A late-model (2019?) white Honda HR-V with license plate DK 305 AD has been abandoned in the parking area of the domestic terminal since 29 November 2020.

Over the ensuing 15 months, the vehicle has incurred parking fees and fines amounting to Rp. 50 million.

Stakeholder Relation Manager of Angkasa Pura I, Taufan Yudistira, confirmed reports of the abandoned car and the resulting money due to the parking lot authority on Tuesday, 15 February 2022.

Taufan reported that the Honda HR-V entered the airport on 29 November 2020 and has moved since that date. The car’s body is now covered with dust accumulated over 15 months.

Taufan explained that an abandoned vehicle parked for extended periods at Bali’s airport represents a not infrequent occurrence. In the past, there were cases where a BMW sedan that was left at the airport for four years and 79 motorcycles left unclaimed in the parking area.
