Beginning in 2016, PACTO Destination Management Company (DMC) has operated a “Billionaire Club Award” to publicly recognize Indonesian hotels that have achieved more than Rp. 1 billion in sales in cooperation by partnering with Indonesia’s oldest and largest inbound travel operator.
The Indonesian tourism industry paused momentarily during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in 2023, “open borders” returned to Indonesian travel, permitting PACTO to resume its popular “Billionaire Club Awards.”
Commenting on the event marking the relaunch of the “Billionaire Club Awards,” the Chief Operating officer of PACTO DMC, Umberto Cadamuro said: “At The Sudamala Resort in Sanur on Tuesday evening, 14 May 2024, we had the honor of recognizing hotels for their remarkable resilience and swift recovery in the post-pandemic in tourism industry. The event highlighted and acknowledged the collaborative efforts, hard work and cooperation by selected hotels who have set exemplary standards in the hospitality industry.”
this year’s event saw seventeen hotels called to the stage in recognition of their resilience and ability to bounce back quickly in the post-pandemic Balinese tourism industry.
