Beritabali.com reports that Bali Customs Officials apprehended an Argentinian woman arriving on a flight from Dubai at Bali’s airport smuggling 323.76 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine in a suppository concealed in her vaginal canal.
The vaginal insert was discovered during a detailed physical inspection of a 46-year-old Argentinian woman who told officials she worked as a beautician and identified at this stage only by her initials “GE.”

Customs officials made the arrest based on intelligence reports and surveillance of the woman who disembarked Emirates EK368 from Dubai at 6:00 pm local time on Wednesday, 25 March 2025.
According to a written statement issued by a spokesman for the Airport’s Custom Office, Officials inspected all the woman’s belongings and conducted a body search resulting in the discovery of the vaginal insert containing the suspected cache of cocaine.
Preliminary investigations indicate the woman was engaged in a criminal enterprise, working as a “mule ”with a third party waiting to receive the narcotics in Bali.
Bowo, a spokesman for the Customs and Excise Department in Bali, has confirmed that laboratory tests identified the powder as cocaine.
Customs Officials and officers of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency (BNNP) are now cooperating to identify other parties involved in the narcotics smuggling operation. GE has admitted to investigations that she was paid US$3,000 to deliver narcotics from Mexico to Bali.
The street value of the confiscated cocaine may exceed Rp. 2 billion.
At this stage of the investigation, both the Argentinian woman and the confiscated cocaine are in the custody of BNNP-Bali.
