5 Bali Hotels in Travel + Leisure Favorites

Kompas.com reports that Travel and Leisure Magazine has released its 2014 list of 20 top favorite resorts in Asia.

The list results from a survey of 186,000 readers of the prestigious travel publication. In all, 700,000 votes were cast from a selection of 8,700 hotels, destinations, and attractions. Hotels were subdivided into rankings for resort hotels, city hotels, private inns, and safari accommodations. Votes in the survey are compiled by covering a range of criteria, including room quality, facilities, location, service standards, and food quality.

Final scores for each property represent an average of among the selected criteria.

The 2024 Travel and Leisure Survey favored Southeast Asian hotels and resorts, with half of the final selection located in Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Indonesia. India has the largest number of hotel properties from a single country in the survey, garnering seven properties in the final rankings. The Taj, Six Senses, and Oberoi brands are prominently featured.

Six of the 20 favorite Asian properties featured in the survey are in Indonesia.
