Travel + Leisure has published its 2023 list of “25 Favorite Cities in the World,” selecting cities on 5 out of 7 continents the publication’s readers voted as the cities they most love to visit.
Readers were asked to rate destinations based on the following criteria:
- Sites and landmarks
- Culture
- Food
- Friendliness
- Shopping
- Value for Money
Ubud, the central Balinese village, secured the #4 ranking (91.73 points) among T+L’s 25 Best that cited as: “…An inland Balinese city surrounded by jungle. One reader described their vacation highlights: “swinging over rice terraces, riding elephants, chasing waterfalls, taking pictures with monkeys, shopping at both market stalls and high-end stores, beautiful restaurants (Cafe Lotus at night is special), cheap massages, and hotels with stunning scenery.”
