Bali Cited Among Best Retirement Islands

Kompas.com reports that TravelAwaits – a travel website that focuses on international travelers aged 50 and above, ranked Bali in an article by Kara William among the 15 “best islands” for retirement in 2021.

The best islands for retirement were selected based on location and affordability.

Indonesia’s island of Bali was cited for its “natural wealth” and low living costs. Also mentioned were the popular enclaves of Ubud and Seminyak, preferred by many ex-pat residents in Bali.

Three other Asian Island destinations also numbered among the world’s “Top 15” were Malaysia’s Penang, Koh Samui in Thailand, snd Phuc Quoc in Vietnam.

Penang was cited for its location and local cuisine, while Penang saluted for its panoramic vistas, quality resorts, spas, golf courses, and picturesque religious temples.
