Fast Boat Connects Bali and Lombok  

Eka Jaya Fast Boat – a fast ferry boat is now connecting the port of Padangbai in Bali and Senggigi Beach on the West Coast of Lombok. 

PT Eka Jaya Fast Boat launched the new service across the Lombok Straits on Thursday, 23 June 2022.

As reported by Beritabali.com, the new inter-island service was launched in a ceremony held at the Senggigi Pier in West Lombok. The launch was attended by H. Fauzan Khalid the Regent of West Lombok, his assistant I Agus Gunawan, the head of the Transportation Service (Dinas Perhubungan) H M Najib, and the owner of the Eka Jaya Ferry I Ketut Sugita. 

The Regent, H. Fauzab Khalid, said the ship forms parts of his administration’s efforts to develop local tourism, saying: “Thank God, this is a thrill for us that the fast ship Eka Jaya can begin operations today. This is very positive for West Lombok tourism by opening a fast ship sailing between Padangbai and Senggigi.”

The new ship will travel the 32 nautical mile distance between Bali and Lombok in 75 minutes. One-way tickets on the new inter-island service are being sold for Rp. 385,000. 

Eka Jaya Fast Boat has a seating capacity for 210 seats.

The Eka Jaya Fast Boat will depart from Gili Trawangan Island at 9:30 am for Senggigi Island in West Lombok. The boat will then depart Senggigi at 10:30 am, arriving in Padangbai, East Bali, at 11:45 am. Plans are to operate frequent departures between Bali and Lombok daily.
