Thai Lion Air flight number SL258, carrying 143 passengers from Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport, landed in Bali on Thursday, 03 April 2025, at 5:20 pm, receiving a water cannon salute marking the inauguration of a new air service.
The return leg departed Bali with flight number Thai Lion Air SL259, carrying 128 passengers at 6:20 pm.

The Bali – Bangkok route has been served in the past by Batik Air, Indonesia AirAsia, and Thai AirAsia. Thai Airways also flies between Bangkok’s (Suvarnabhumi) and Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport.
The General Manager of Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, enthusiastically welcomed Thai Lion Air’s new flights to Bali.” The Don Muang route is very competitive with average passenger loads exceeding 70% over the past two months,” said Shahab.
Starting 10 April 2025, the Thai Lion Air Service will initially fly four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Depending on passenger demand, plans are to soon increase flights to Bali to operate daily.
