BaliPost, FajarBali, and Detik provide coverage of two transvestites, Gerald Dumbatuban also known as “Gladys” (19), and Muhamad Darlan (25), standing before a Denpasar, Bali Court on Thursday, 16 July 3036, charged with assault and robbery of two Island visitors from the Middle East that occurred at Villa Aora Dua by Elsewhere, on Jalan Seminyak in Kuta
In the context of the modern day, the correct use of pronouns has become confusing, making identifying someone as either a transvestite, transsexual, or transgender problematic.
Irregardless, Gladys and Muhamad. now on trial in Bali, are being labeled in the local press simply as “lady boys” of defendants in a legal case likely to place them both behind bars,

A female Public Prosecutor, Ni Luh Ayu Nyoman Puji Astini, has detailed charges against the two “lady boys,” telling the judges how in Denpasar on the evening Thursday, 26 March 2026 the two lady boy were “ordered,” using an online telephone application tinder, to appear at a Badung tourist villa to provide, it is supposed, personal and intimate sexual services to two visitors from the Middle East
The two Middle East tourist Almugbil Omar Abdulaziz M and, Mohamad Aboallh M. Alamro were reportedly extremely unhappy when the two “lady boys” presented at the villa, as the tourists were anticipating the “genuine article” in the forms of two female commercial sex workers.
The two disappointed Middle Easterns immediately canceled their “orders” and told the two lady boys their “dates” were cancelled and that they should leave immediately.
Also disappointed were Gladys and the MD, who were being ordered to leave without being paid for their charms and promised sexual favors. Not prepared to just leave it at that, the two lady boys summoned four colleagues, identified as I Gusti Ngurah Agung Bayu Prayoga. (35), Ratna Y (46), Cika (still sought by police), and Bayu, to help champion their case. Now numbering six in total, the group pounded on the villa door, eventually forcing their way in and demanding some compensation for their services, albeit undelivered.
Reports by FajarBali suggest that the altercation was recorded on a handphone for documentation by Ratna at the request by I Gusti Ngurah Agung Bayu Prayoga (Bayu).
During the ensuing altercation, Bayu produced a machete (parang) and inflicted several wounds on the two “customers.”
Following the attack, a medical report by Dr. Ni Kadek Yusthiani Sukarta from Kasih Ibu Hospital (Visum et Repertum Nomor 02/VER/RSKIK/IV/2026) stated that Alamro had suffered cuts and abrasions to his left arm measuring approximately 4 x 3 centimeters, an abrasion on his left wrist measuring 1 x 0.5 centimeters, a 5-centimeter abrasion on his left chest, a bluish-red bruise on his right thigh measuring approximately 8 x 3 centimeters, and two bruises to his left knee.
In the course of the conflict and fearing for his life, Mohamad Aboallh M. Alamro told the group of assailants he was going to a nearby ATM to fetch money, using the ruse to escape and seek police assistance.
Sensing that Alamaro has escaped, the group reportedly ransacked the villa seizing personal items of the two visitors.
Almugbil Omar Abdulaziz M alleged that he had clothing, a Rolex watch, AirPods, a passport and Rp. 30 million in cash taken by the angry group of sex workers. Abdulaziz put the total estimate of his losses at Rp. 180 million.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Aboallh M. Alamro told police he had been robbed of two IPhones, a Rolex watch, a computer, passport, and five bottles of perfume. Alamaro estimated to police his total losses at Rp. 144 million.
I Gusti Ngurah Agung Bayu Prayoga. (35), and Ratna Y (46) were charged by police and are standing trial separately. Meanwhile, Cika and Bayu are still sought by police.
Gerad Dumbatuban also known as “Gladys” (19), and Muhamad Darlan MD (25) were charged with armed robbery under Sections 479 and 477 of the Indonesian criminal code (KUHP). They are being defended in court by lawyers from the Posbakum Peradi Denpasar Legal Aid Center.
